Meet Toby, a teenager in San Diego who lives with several chronic medical issues. His family needs to keep multiple medical devices on almost 24/7 due to Toby's fragile health. During a recent heatwave, the family's electricity bill ballooned. Toby's father also had a recent, unexpected surgery, which combined with the high electricity costs put the family behind. Our help fund helped alleviate some of their hardships but for Toby, his parents and two other siblings the holiday season will be bleak. Our Adopt a Family program hopes to bring some joy these holidays to Toby and his family.

Donny, like any 8-year-old, loves video games and collecting Pokémon cards. He has multiple developmental delays that require frequent therapy sessions. Donny’s younger sister was also recently diagnosed with ASD and she has just started services at the Regional Center.  After the death of Donny's father a few years ago, Donny's mother was left as the sole provider for the family. Between therapy visits, working two jobs to support the family and keeping the family afloat, the holidays are an incredibly stressful time for her. As one of the families we plan to adopt this holiday season, we hope to help Donny and his family have a joyous holiday season.
